In design management, processes, business decisions, and strategies enable innovation and help create products, services, communications, environments, and brands that are effective and enhance our quality of life and In addition to marketing management, operations management, and strategic management, design management also includes project management.
Traditionally, design management was just about managing design projects, but over time it evolved to encompass other aspects of an organization at the functional and strategic levels. Recently, there has been a great deal of debate regarding the integration of design thinking into strategic management as part of a cross-disciplinary and human-centered approach to management. In addition to this, this paradigm also focuses on the collaborative and iterative process of work, as well as an abductive mode of inference.
